Dear all,
so far I've had no success in getting our Andor Neo Camera working using MicroManager (both 1.4.6 and the current nightly build on Windows7 32bit). Since there is no instructions on the device wiki yet I decided to post my problem. "Andor3" appears in the hardware configuration wizard but when it's selected and I want to advance to accept the configuration I get an error message stating that "the specified module could not be found." and "Unable to load library: file not accessible or corrupted." I have the most recent Andor SDK3 installed at C:\Program Files\Andor SDK3 as well as the Bitflow drivers at C:\BitFlow SDK 5.30. Do I need to move or create any kind of library/configuration file somewhere? Hi Martin,
If during the SDK3 installation you selected the 'Add to path' option then it should work without any need to copy libraries. If this option was not selected then you can either manually add the SDK3 folder to your Path or copy the following dll's into your MicroManager directory: Atcl_bfbi.dll Atcore.dll Atdevregcam.dll Cc3270mt.dll With Thanks, David Gault -----Original Message----- From: Martin Schorb [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: 26 October 2011 14:15 To: [hidden email] Subject: [micro-manager-general] Andor3 SCMOS issue Dear all, so far I've had no success in getting our Andor Neo Camera working using MicroManager (both 1.4.6 and the current nightly build on Windows7 32bit). Dear David,
I encounter the same problems as Martin, but I was told, that the SDK3 is not needed to make the camera work. So I tried different night builds, even some, which worked with other groups (as Martin), but no success. Is it possible to download these files separate or can you mail me these? (I use WinXP pro, latest build). Thanks for help Thomas --

Dear DAvid, maybe I was a bit to quick with my question, I found the files in the andor-solis folder and moving this to the micro-manager folder, I could make the camera to work. Nevertheless, it was not responding to exposure change and had no binning possibilities, do I have to care about other library files aswell? Thomas --

There shouldn't be any other libraries required. The current release of the Neo has not yet implemented on camera binning which is why this feature is not available. It will be made available at a later date. If the exposure time is not responding it may be because the exposure entered is out of range. For example in overlap or external trigger mode your minimum exposure will be limited to the readout time for a frame.
