Building on Windows XP 32-bit Pro

Pariksheet Nanda
Dear List,

Building from subversion revision 4396 I am able to build both the C++
and Java layers from the wiki instructions [1].
However when I start ImageJ v1.43u and click on Plugins >
Micro-Manager > Micro-Manager Studio nothing happens.
If I try to instead click Plugins > Micro-Manager > Open Micro-Manager
File, I get the following error message:

Plugin or class not found: "MMImage5DReaderPlugin_"
  (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: MMImage5DReaderPlugin_)

How do I resolve this dependency?
Is it responsible for Micro-Manager Studio not starting?  If not what
can I try to troubleshoot?

Thanks,
    --Pariksheet

Hi Pariksheet,

It sounds like part of your Java layer did not successfully compile.
In the mmstudio directory from the commandline, run:

ant -buildfile build.xml > javabuildlog.txt

Can you send me the resulting file? Thanks.

Best regards,
Arthur

Re: Building on Windows XP 32-bit Pro

Hoover, Karl
Hi Pariksheet,

Are you trying to run from \projects\micromanager1.3\bin or perhaps from  \projects\micromanager1.3\Install\micro-manager ?

What I've usually been doing on both Windows and Mac is to install the current build, let's say into c:\Micro-Manager-1.3 for example, then build  and
drop whatever library  I'm debugging into that install directory.

Best Regards,
Karl Hoover
