Good MM 1.4 nightly build for Axio-Imager M2 reflected shutter

PEARSON Matthew
Hi all,

We have just installed a Zeiss Axio-Imager M2 running MM 1.4.22 and in our channel presets we have the core shutter property which is set to the Axio-Imager's reflected light shutter.  I've noticed that if you have the live mode on, input a new exposure time in the text box of the main gui then press the enter key to update the exposure, the shutter ends up in the closed state.  It does update correctly and keep the shutter open if you press the refresh gui button instead but unfortunately our users are used to pressing enter!  Does anyone know a nightly build where you can press enter and it keep the shutter open? It's probably obvious from my question but autoshutter is enabled.  The same behaviour is seen on the Axio-Observer's shutters too in 1.4.22.  Perhaps this is not a bug and is the intended behaviour but I suspect not.

Thanks,

Matt

That sure sounds like a bug.  Does the same happen in a recent nightly
build?

Best,

Nico

Re: Good MM 1.4 nightly build for Axio-Imager M2 reflected shutter

PEARSON Matthew
Hi Nico,

I haven't tried yet, i'm sometimes reluctant to update in case it introduces new issues and there have probably been quite a few changes since 1.4.22 stable.  I've also noticed that even if you have keep shutter open for channels selected it keeps opening and closing the Axio-Imager's RL shutter regardless.  Again perhaps this is another bug that could have been ironed out in a newer version.  I will give a nightly build a try.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Nico,

Actually i checked and its not an issue on the Axio-Observer with 1.4.22, its only on the Axio-Imager M2 that the RL shutter closes when the exposure time is updated and the enter key is pressed while live mode is on.  Perhaps there are minor differences between the models and the device adapter needs a tweak?  I will check a newer build anyway and let you know if it still happens.

Thanks,

Matt

Re: Good MM 1.4 nightly build for Axio-Imager M2 reflected shutter

PEARSON Matthew
Just to let everyone know that this issue seems to have been fixed in the 1.4.22 nightly builds.  I tried 07/08/2016.  I'm not sure actually if it was related to the PVCAM driver version also which i updated 3.1.9 from 3.0.5 as it only happen when live mode was on.

Thanks,

Matt
