Dear Micro-Manager Users,
I am trying to use Lumencor light engine but having a trouble for configuration. Lumencor provides an adapter on their site, (http://www.lumencor.com/software/micromanager_software.html) but when I put the .dll file to micro-manager directory and run Hadware Configuration Wizard, Lumencor doesn't appear on device list. I found that MMDeviceList.txt provides the information for device list but couldn't find how to write the adapter information. Does anybody kindly answer following my question? 1) How to rewrite MMDeviceList.txt for adding an adapter? 2) Can I add Lumencor light engine by editing MMDeviceList.txt? Dear Yuki-San,

This indicates that Micro-Manager could not load the Lumencor adapter, most likely since it was build against a different version of Micro-Manager than the one you are using. Ask Lumencor what exact Micro-Manager version you need to use. Even better, ask them to donate their source code to the Micro-Manager repository so that their adapter will be included in the Micro-Manager distribution and will always be in sync with Micro-Manager. > I found that MMDeviceList.txt provides the information for device list > but couldn't find how to write the adapter information. Actually, Micro-Manager will also show device adapters that are not in the list as long as it can load them. > Does anybody kindly answer following my question? > 1) How to rewrite MMDeviceList.txt for adding an adapter? > 2) Can I add Lumencor light engine by editing MMDeviceList.txt? Since the answer to 2) is no, there is no point to ansewring 1) Best, Nico ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The demand for IT networking professionals continues to grow, and the demand for specialized networking skills is growing even more rapidly. Dear Nico-san,
Thank you for your prompt reply and everything for micro-manager! I will ask Lumencor about version 1.4 because they provide an adapter for version 1.3. I'll also ask about donation for their source code. Dear Yuki,
Can you please update on your solution. I'm having similar problems and want to know what is the newest version that supports the Lumencor engine version 1.3.49 has only partial support Thanks uv |

Dear uv,
I asked to Lumencore about MM 1.4 support and they said it will be supported soon. Since our light engine have not been delivered (I tried MM for the light engine during demo), we are now waiting for both light engine and upgrade of the driver. Last email was one month ago, so I would push them by email once again.
