MM source code and ImageJ

Liisa Hirvonen
Hello,

I upgraded to Micro-Manager 1.4 and had to recompile my own device adapters with the new source code. When I tried using them, I got "Device interface version mismatch", so I had to use the source code also for the user interface. This works fine when I run it from Eclipse, but I would really need to run it under ImageJ. When I try starting ImageJ from command line, it starts with message: "Unrecognized command: Micro-Manager Studio". Any idea what to do to make it work? The OS is 32-bit Win XP.

Thank you,
Liisa

Try running your device adapter using the latest Micro-Manager nightly build ( http://valelab.ucsf.edu/~MM/MMwiki/index.php/Micro-Manager_Nightly_Builds ).  It should have the same device interface version as the code your compiled using the current version in the repository.

Best,

Nico

Hi Nico,

Yes I did that and it works fine - the problem is that I'd like to run Micro-Manager under ImageJ as opposed to running it from Eclipse without ImageJ. All my scripts use the ImageJ image window to display a stack of data, and without the ImageJ tools I'm not sure how to save the data...

Thank you,
Liisa

I do not understand your problem. If you download and install the latest nightly Micro-Manager build then you will run Micro-Manager under ImageJ as you always do.  No need for Eclipse.  Your compiled device adapter (if compiled against the code currently in the trunk in the repository) should work (i.e. the versions should match) with the latest nightly build.

Best,

Nico
