Need help testing new Mac distribution

Nico Stuurman
Administrator
If you are using Micro-Manager on a Mac, can you please help us test our new Mac distribution?

We are now building Universal Binaries, i.e., there will be one file for both Power PC and Intel Macs.  This new Mac distribution will work on Mac OS 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6.  It will run natively as a 64-bit application on 64-bit capable Intel Macs on 10.5 and 10.6 (use the Image64.app to start up Micro-Manager if you want to run it as a 64-bit application).  Some problems may arise when you do not have drivers for your equipment (camera) that are 64-bit capable.

You can download this latest Mac build from:

http://valelab.ucsf.edu/~MM/nightlyBuilds/

Look for the topmost file with the ".dmg" extension.  Please let us know of any problems that you encounter.

Best regards,

Nico
