Hello,
I've a Photometrics camera (quanTEM 512SC) and I want to control it from labview. I've installed autoMicromanager and I've tried to configure the hardware (I've chosen PVCAM as the device) but I get an error and I cannot control the camera. I've tried via autoMicromanager and labview (Make hardware Confif file.vi). Do you have some advices? Have you verified that your QuantEM works from the PVCAM test programs
(i.e. RSConfig and the other PVCAM program that displays live images (sorry, I forget the name of it). I don't know what autoMicroManager is, but my next step would be to verify that it works with Micro-manager. If so, it should work in MicroManager using the PVCAM driver. We have used QuantEM and Evolve cameras with MicroManager several times without a problem. Likewise, I've successfully used the Quant in MM. Will try the Evolve 512 soon. The basic test program you should try is PVCAM Test ( or something named similarly ), if that doesn't work all bets are off, PVCam can be VERY flaky. Recently, it corrupted itself ( or so it seems ) and I had to reinstall it to get the Quant to work. I don't have time right now, but I can respond later if you want some ideas/help on integrating it with LabVIEW. -Dean ________________________________ From: Kurt Thorn [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: Wed 10/26/2011 10:47 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [micro-manager-general] Photometrics camera Have you verified that your QuantEM works from the PVCAM test programs (i.e. RSConfig and the other PVCAM program that displays live images (sorry, I forget the name of it). Unfortunately, I have not been able to work on Automicromanager for a
year now, so it may be a little out of date. You should check to see if the camera works with normal micromanager first. Can you tell me what error you are getting? Hi,
I have a Photometric Camera and I'm using labview to control it through autoMicroManager. Do you know how can I save a video? I cannot find in the invoke nodes a method that allows saving videos instead of images. Thanks! In order to manage video in LabView, you need to install the LabView IMAC (Image Acquisition Package). Then you will find the VIs that you need.
