Starting out, again, with Micro-Manager2 Gamma but issues

MORRISON Harris
Hi,

Playing catch up from MM1.4 to MM2 but having an issue when using the script panel or even going Live.

I click on Live, after selecting a channel, and I can hear and see the shutter opening 2 or 3 times. If i do the same, after setting up the Script Panel, by using the Preset then I get multiple opening of the shutter before the image is displayed!! At first I though this was some clever auto-expose I'd never seen before but it doesn't change any exposure values!

Also, when I first load the config I have to open/edit the System group preset so that the camera goes to the settings made, i.e gain of 2, readoutrate 10MHz, etc. I make no changes, but the act of opening that group preset activates and sets those entries; Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance, just trying to catch up with everyone else....

Cheers,

Harris

Hi Harris,

Playing catch up from MM1.4 to MM2 but having an issue when using the script panel or even going Live.

I click on Live, after selecting a channel, and I can hear and see the shutter opening 2 or 3 times.

Does live mode still start after those shutter openings and closings?

If i do the same, after setting up the Script Panel, by using the Preset

Not sure what these two actions are exactly (what is "setting up the Script Panel", and what does using a Preset have to with Live mode?)  Sorry, just trying to understand what exactly you try to do and what does not work.

then I get multiple opening of the shutter before the image is displayed!!

Also, when I first load the config I have to open/edit the System group preset so that the camera goes to the settings made, i.e gain of 2, readoutrate 10MHz, etc. I make no changes, but the act of opening that group preset activates and sets those entries; Any ideas?

The log file you included does show that there is and error loading your MMStartup.bsh script.  Otherwise, there is not much information there.  Can you generate a trouble report (help > report a problem) and send that?  It will have much more useful information.

Best,

Nico

Yes it does.

Script panel = Quick access panel, and I am talking about about the Set Preset icon which is then used to open a particular channel set from the Group preset.

Done and sent, two actually. Many thanks for the fast reply and suggestions while understanding my gibberish.

Cheers,

Harris
