the demo adapter code is now filled with dynamic_cast's. didn't we agree to abolish the use of these? because this code now doesn't work at all under linux, nor any of the other adapters using it (arduino, democamera, directelectron). this was the previous linking issue we discussed. I'd say this is pretty fatal and needs a resolution ASAP
