andor camera and micromanager

Johan Henriksson-2
Hello,
can anyone tell me their experience of using andor cameras? can anyone verify that is works with the latest version of micromanager? (or as new as possible)

I'm particularly interested in what is the latest working version for linux

I have run into a plethora of issues. one is a crash by
Andor.cpp:1579: unsigned char* AndorCamera::GetAcquiredImage(): Assertion `fullFrameBuffer_ != 0' failed.
which is a total bogus. I don't see how it can be null under any normal conditions.

Another issue is a crash in Initialize. reinitializing the camera sometimes work.

Other times micromanager tells me that the pixel type is unknown(!). and in endrov nothing happens upon snap, if it doesn't crash.

So, please, let me know your experience
/Johan

Used on a daily basis here, on two different systems, one of which has two Andors attached (that can image simultaneously).  Just tested yesterday's Windows 64-bit build and had no problems.

Best,

Nico
