open acquisition data

Sometimes I cannot open 5D acquisition data on another computer. Sometimes all the images are completely black (the brightness/contrast can't be adjusted). I maybe solved that by a newer nightly build. More recently, I have timelapse, channel, and position data and it opens on the acquisition computer; however when I open it in uM on the processing computer, it doesn't show the timelapse data, only position and channels.

I was running 1.4.7 20110913 on the acquisition computer (Win7 64bit), and 1.4.8-20111120 on the data-processing computer (Mac OSX 10.6 64bit). Now I have 1.4.8-20111120 on both, and I will see if that helps. Are there some metadata files or something that might not be copying over when I put the data folder on an external HD? Are there issue with transferring data between PC and Mac?

After more exploration, I see that the timelapse data is opened and I can play the movie. Just the slider does not indicate a time stack. I can simply move through the time stack using Ctrl-arrow. Sorry for the confusion.
